Background

The Le@rning Federation has developed a content management system and an interoperability framework for creating, distributing and managing content and intellectual property rights.

The content management system, the Learning Exchange, is a repository that:

  • assists with managing the development of, and quality assurance processes for, TLF digital curriculum content;
  • manages the intellectual property rights of TLF content;
  • supports the delivery of online curriculum content to all school education jurisdictions in Australia and New Zealand.

Learning objects and digital resources are stored in the Exchange repository in a form that is accessible and compatible with the online learning services of the Australian states and territories and New Zealand. Compatibility has been made possible by the development of an interoperability framework that ensures all education systems and schools can access TLF content within their standard operating environments.

Current status

The Learning Exchange is currently being used by TLF for distribution of content to jurisdictions.
