Background

TLF Content Repository is an initiative to provide The Le@rning Federation digital curriculum content to eligible users who cannot access the content through other repositories. The first release of the repository was in July 2007, for use by pre-service teachers in the higher education community.

TLF Content Repository provides access to more than 8,000 items of digital curriculum content from TLF. Users can find interactive learning objects, images, audio files and movie clips via browse, search and filter technology. The Repository also allows the creation of learning paths – collections of learning content interwoven with teacher comments and descriptions that can be delivered to students either online or offline.

In February 2008 another version of the Repository (known as Scootle) was released for other interested education jurisdictions.

Current status

TLF Content Repository is currently being used by higher education institutions and professional organisations across Australia and New Zealand for their pre-service teaching and training.
