The Le@rning Federation Schools Online Curriculum Content Initiative

Supply us with content

Print page   Email page

The Le@rning Federation works with publishers and cultural and public organisations to develop and license digital content (such as audio files, film clips and still images) for Australian and New Zealand schools.

We generally seek non-exclusive arrangements that enable teachers and students to discover and use the content.

TLF adds value to the items we license by packaging them with metadata (to aid discoverability), intellectual property information and educational value statements. TLF then delivers the content to educational jurisdictions in Australia and New Zealand. In turn, the jurisdictions distribute the content via education portals and DVDs to individual schools.

Our aims

By licensing content from publishers and organisations, we aim to:

  • improve educational outcomes for Australian and New Zealand students;
  • supplement the content that we develop;
  • provide cost-effective and diverse sources of content.

Benefits to publishers and public and cultural organisations

Publishers and cultural organisations can benefit in numerous ways from licensing content to TLF.

  • We provide comprehensive access to schools – the content is sent to all Australian and New Zealand schools, including government, Catholic and independent.
  • Organisations can satisfy their formal and public education requirements.
  • TLF has established a licensing framework and infrastructure that clearly communicates the licensing arrangements to all users and administrators.
